No geral, o mapa mostra os planetas em órbita à volta do sol a alinhados da seguinte forma: Júpiter em Virgem; Saturno alinhado entre Caranguejo e Gémeos; Marte, Mercúrio e Vénus em Balança.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eO mapa do Sistema Solar representa a teoria de Nicolau Copérnico do movimento dos planetas. Tem decorações alegóricas (canto inferior direito) com Urania, deusa da Astronomia, com as teorias antigas e os três sistemas conhecidos: Ptolomaico, Tycho Brahe e Coperniciano (este último identificado como \u003cem\u003esic ration\u003c\/em\u003ee, i.e. \u003cem\u003ede acordo com a razão\u003c\/em\u003e).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eO mapa encontra-se rodeado de detalhadas cenas gravadas e querubins com e sem asas. No canto superior direito tem uma cartela com o texto sobre as proporções do Sistema Solar, mencionando a estrela Sirius a 691.600 anos (anos-luz?) e com alegoria a outros sistemas solares espalhados pelo Universo. No canto superior esquerdo, uma representação do conhecimento da época da «Magnitude» ou dimensões proporcionais dos planetas do sistema solar comparados com o sol. In a general view, the astronomical chart shows the planets orbiting around the sun and lined in the following way: Jupiter in Virgo; Saturn lined between Cancer and Gemini; and Mars, Mercury and Venus in Libra.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe chart of the Solar System represents Nicolaus Copernicus’s theory of the movement of planets and also an allegorical decoration (see bottom right of the engraving) depicting Urania - the goddess of astronomy -  with the old theories and the three known systems: Ptolemaic, Tycho Brahe, and Copernicus (this one labelled \u003cem\u003esic ration\u003c\/em\u003ee, i.e. \u003cem\u003eaccording to reason\u003c\/em\u003e).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe chart is surrounded by rich engraved scenes with winged and non-winged puti children. At the right upper corner there is a cartouche with a text about the proportions of the Solar System mentioning the star Sirius at 691,600 years (light years?) and with an allegory to other solar systems spread over the Universe. At the upper left side there is a representation of the contemporary knowledge of the «Magnitude» or proportional dimensions of the Solar System planets compared to the Sun. At the bottom left corner there is a correct representation of an eclipse of the Sun by the moon projected in the Earth Globe and observed in Nuremberg visible at Taurus.
