Foi percursor ao considerar a matemÃ¡tica como a base de todas as ciÃªncias e a exposiÃ§Ã£o das suas ideias Ã© de grande clareza e rigor. Publicou numerosos trabalhos sobre hidrÃ¡ulica, quÃ­mica, cristalografia, medicina e astronomia, que foram reunidos em 1719 nos dois volumes da Opera Omnia. He was the first to consider mathematics as the basis of all sciences and the exposÃ© of his ideas is clear and thorough. He published several works on hydraulics, chemistry, crystallography, medicine, and astronomy, which were gathered in 1719 in the two volumes of the Opera Omnia.
