A segunda aborda a política nacional, descrevendo o atentado, o suplício dos culpados, a expulsão dos jesuítas e o corte de relações com Roma até um novo Papa ceder à vontade real e extinguir a Companhia de Jesus. A terceira aborda os assuntos militares. A quarta debruça-se sobre os assuntos do comércio, indústria e agricultura. A quinta da reforma das leis, do ensino e das artes. José during his reign, that will be recited by the statue, i.e. the king himself.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter the foreword with the explanation of the author’s intentions, the first plate mentions the initial actions taken by the King, including the nomination of Sebastião de Carvalho e Melo as prime minister, with praises to him. The second speaks about national politics, describing the attack to the king [1758], the torture of the perpetrators, the expulsion of the Jesuits, and breaking off all relations with Rome until a new Pope yielded to the king’s will and extinguished the Society of Jesus. The third addresses military issues. The fourth deals with issues related to trade, industry, and agriculture. The fifth, the reformation of the laws, teaching, and arts.
