Obra que relata os descobrimentos portugueses e os trabalhos das missões jesuíticas na Índia, Índias Orientais, América, Pérsia Japão, China, Brasil (com três capítulos) e outras partes da América. A segunda parte trata das cartas de S. Francisco Xavier, inclui no final cartas de Luís de Almeida, de Luís Frois do Japão e Francisco Henriques do Brasil.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAzevedo-Samodães 1934. Descreve uma edição de Antuérpia 1605. “Esta História das Índias do P.e Maffei, autor italiano mas que escreveu em latim, é muito para estimar. O sr.
