A palavra aranzel significa uma enumeração pormenorizada, pois o regimento inclui a explicação de todas as normas relativas ao imposto. O imposto consistia no pagamento de um determinado valor por todos os que fossem nomeados para o exercício de cargos por mercê real, desde vice-reis a capitães gerais, e quaisquer outros funcionários que tivessem poderes para nomear. O alvará de 1638, que aprovava o presente regimento revogou os alvarás de 12 de setembro de 1631.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRaríssimo.
