O segundo item, descrito como «\u003cem\u003eDe machina artificiali Orrery dicta ab inventione\u003c\/em\u003e», é um Planetário mecânico representando o movimento dos planetas interiores do Sistema Solar: Mercúrio, Vénus, Terra e a Lua. Foi construído por J. Rowley para C. Boyle. Conde de Orrery, provavelmente no início do século XVIII.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTobbias Lotter Conrad era um editor e gravador alemão que casou com a filha de Matthaus Seutter o Velho. Começou a gravar muitos dos mapas de Seuter e acabou por ser bem sucedido no negócio em 1756, tornando-se um dos cartógrafos mais famosos da Escola Alemã do século XVIII.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOs mapas de Lotter têm sempre cartelas muito elaboradas e desenhos muito decorativos. The second item, also called in the description: «\u003cem\u003eDe machina artificiali Orrery dicta ab inventione\u003c\/em\u003e» is a mechanical Planetarium representing the movement of the inner planets of the Solar System, Mercury and Venus, the Earth, and the Moon. It was built by J. Rowley for C. Boyle. Earl of Orrery, probably at the beginning of the 18th Century.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTobbias Lotter Conrad was a German publisher and engraver who married the daughter of the elder Matthaus Seutter. He engraved many of Seuter’s maps and was eventually successful in business in 1756, becoming one of the best known cartographers of the 18th Century German School.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLotter’s maps always have elaborated cartouches and very decorative designs.
