Foi construÃ­do por J. Rowley para C. Boyle. Conde de Orrery, provavelmente no inÃ­cio do sÃ©culo XVIII.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTobbias Lotter Conrad era um editor e gravador alemÃ£o que casou com a filha de Matthaus Seutter o Velho. The second item, also called in the description: Â«\u003cem\u003eDe machina artificiali Orrery dicta ab inventione\u003c\/em\u003eÂ» is a mechanical Planetarium representing the movement of the inner planets of the Solar System, Mercury and Venus, the Earth, and the Moon. It was built by J. Rowley for C. Boyle. Earl of Orrery, probably at the beginning of the 18th Century.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTobbias Lotter Conrad was a German publisher and engraver who married the daughter of the elder Matthaus Seutter. He engraved many of Seuterâ€™s maps and was eventually successful in business in 1756, becoming one of the best known cartographers of the 18th Century German School.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLotterâ€™s maps always have elaborated cartouches and very decorative designs. In this case the furniture of the Planetarium is a very interesting period design containing a time clock movement with the Transit of Venus and Mercury, circulating in different table dials.
